This series is not meant for you. As a matter of fact, I would much prefer for you not to read what I'm going to be posting.
It's not that I will be posting anything salacious, disparaging, or devious plotting. We are not a missionizing religion, and I have personally no interest in going out towards you to convert you, to turn you to our side. Neither do I have any interest in actively going out to debate with you to convince you your religion is wrong.
Indeed, Judaism, for the most part, rejects conversions. When you come to convert, you are traditionally dismissed a few times before we even consider accepting you. The process itself is long and arduous. In the Orthodox world, it takes years; I've seen cases taking close to a decade, and overall it requires a complete upheaval of your lifestyle. That's because Judaism does not require non-Jews to become Jews in order to go to Heaven. All you need to do is follow the Seven Laws of Noah.
The reason I am making this series is, as the title intimates, to fight missionaries who come to our less knowledgeable or less fortunate Jewish to convert them to your faith. Missionaries, and your entire faith as a whole, think they are doing them a favor and giving them a straight path to Heaven. On the other hand, Judaism is very clear: it's the way to perdition, not salvation, for a Jew to abandon the creed of his forefathers. Whether you believe that your faith is a continuation, supersession, or part of a dual covenant is irrelevant to us. The Torah couldn't be more explicit: there is no part in the next world for a Jew who abandons his Judaism.
By converting a Jew, you think you are doing him a favor, but really you are killing his immortal soul. We are humbly telling you: there are over 5 billion of non-Jewish non-believers. If you feel you must missionize and preach, take care of them while we take care of our brethren. There is no reason for you to concentrate on us, especially considering the history of oppression, murders, and near genocide behind missionary attempts on world Jewry. I'm sure you mean well, and the last thing you would want is to inflict physical harm on us, so I'm asking you to also not impose spiritual harm on us. Suppose Jews ran around your neighborhood, converting away your least knowledgeable members or your more isolated ones and turning them into observant Jews. I highly doubt you would look upon this favorably. So, please, put yourself in our shoes.
So, if you are a "messianic Jew," please read this series, and I hope you come home. If you're a non-Jewish person with a different faith than mine, I suggest you move along to the other content I'll be posting. If you do go through the material and come to the same conclusion Jews have come for the last 2,020 years, please remember:
